Sairandhri
Sairandhri is a poem by Vinod Joshi. He wrote this when he was in Australia. The poem is about lost identity. And this is a small part from Mahabharata with different point of view. A view from Sairandhri( Draupadi). Draupadi is the most important character in the Mahabharata. While the Pandavas were in 'Agyaat vaas' Draupadi live a 'Dasi' and with the name Sairandhri. Vinod Joshi took this event and also presents that she is in love with Karña.
Some lines from poem…
સૈરી ઊભી રહી, અધવચ બરવાર, અવઢવ
એને મોકલે, નિહ અંદર નહિ હાર
Saindhri stood up right in the middle of the door, undecided, not knowing where to go, inside or outside. The poem shows the person lost his or her identity and search for identity. And we all have this dual identity. One what we actually are and second what people know about us
